RFID Readers to minimize cancer patient’s anxiety

RFID Readers to minimize cancer patient’s anxiety

Life of a person fighting with cancer can be quite troublesome as it is filled with anxiety, pain and fear. The fight against cancer not only shatters a person physically but can even wreck him mentally and in order to lessen all this ThingMagic has deployed its Astra RFID Readers at Patricia Disney Family Cancer Center in California.

These readers have been designed for minimizing patient's anxiety and improving workflow between administrators, clinicians and patients. The readers will read patient's ID badge for activating custom hospital room settings such as lighting, music and temperature. It will also communicate location information from passive RFID badges to centralized applications for improving patient's experience. Even the location of the patient will be transmitted enabling clinicians to locate and tend to patients in the quickest possible manner.

Cancer patients will certainly stand to benefit from it.
