Samsung Google Chrome Notebooks Due in June:

Samsung and Google announced a notebook computer which uses the Chrome operating system. The Samsung Series 5 notebook has a 12.1-inch screen, just 2cm thick and weighs around 1.4kg. It runs an Intel N570 1.66Ghz Dual Core processor with a 16GB Solid State Drive, boots up in less than 10 seconds and has a battery life of up to 8.5 hours.

There will be 3G+WiFi and WiFi-only versions. The Samsung's notebook will cost US$429 for a model that only offers a Wi-Fi option for connectivity and $499 for one that also offers 3G connectivity from Verizon. US users will be able to place the orders for Samsung notebooks from June 15 from Amazon and Best Buy. The Samsung notebooks will also be available in UK, France, Germany, Spain and Netherlands.
